I’ve covered the Outcast Ultimate Wireless Speaker before and have been using it ever since. I love it more the more I use it. It’s weather resistant and fireproof. They released it’s little brother, the Outcast Jr. It has a 6.5″ down firing woofer and four 3″ high frequency drivers in an omnidirectional array. If you have two Jr.’s, one can receive only the right channel and the other can receive only the left. You can plug the AudioCast Transmitter into your home theater or your laptop. It’s versatile because of the magnet and form factor, which I love. One of my favorite gadgets that has made being outside, or on a plane, or in the car easier when you loose power in your MacBook or iPhone is the HyperMac External Battery. They have four options, from 60 Watt Hour to 222 Watt Hour, providing between 11.8 to 52.2 additional hours. If you haven’t seen the IT Crowd, buy the DVDs! It’s worth it. They once did a great episode about “The Internet”. When I saw the Verizon MiFi, I immediately thought of this episode. The MiFi is a tiny router that lets you easily share Internet access with your friends or family. I think I’ll be giving up my Sprint Mobile Broadband Card for the MiFi.
