I was on the bus in Michigan when I called a business partner, Jessica, in Texas. My Videophone was connected to a Sprint Aircard Broadband card and Cradlepoint (which you can see when I moved the phone around so she could see out the window, my Flip video camera was pointing else where - oops), so the quality of the video is a little off.
You can see the video get much clearer when the bus is still and then have a little pixillation when we get going again.
We had the handset lifted so I put music in the background to make sort of a commercial.
If you can lip read, you can see her asking “Are you on a train?”
I show people how to make money selling this phones, so I have to be mobile. Because a “SHOW” beats a “TELL” anytime you are talking about a videophone to someone.
This is NOT a supported method of connection for end-user or customers of the videophone.
The video phone cake was made by a business partner’s cousin for our ACN on Primetime viewing party on March 22, 2009 when ACN made “Network Marketing” history as it was the featured company on the Celebrity Apprentice show on NBC.

The new Dell Latitude D620 and D820 notebooks can be configured with Cingularâs UMTS/HSPDA-based 3G technology onboard, giving customers global wireless data capabilities from day one. In the U.S., Latitude users now have mobile broadband access in all BroadbandConnect markets launched by Cingular in 2005 â and in most major markets by the end of this year â with seamless high-speed EDGE network coverage outside those areas in 13,000 cities and towns. Overseas, they can use their Latitude notebooks wirelessly in conjunction with EDGE or GPRS data service in more than 100 countries worldwide.
âThe new Dell Latitude notebooks configured with Cingularâs BroadbandConnect service represent a complete, self-contained package â a fantastic new computing device with unparalleled global wireless capabilities built-in,â said Jeff Bradley, vice president, business data services, for Cingular Wireless. âThis simplifies the wireless experience for business users by making it seamless. Thereâs no longer any need to purchase and bring along a separate wireless card or search for a WiFi hot-spot when traveling domestically or abroad.â
Cingularâs BroadbandConnect service uses UMTS/HSDPA technology â the global standard and natural 3G evolutionary path for GSM providers. In the U.S., it provides average download speeds between 400-700 kilobits per second (kbps), with bursts to more than one megabit per second (mbps). Cingularâs EDGE network, the largest national high-speed wireless data network in the U.S., provides average download speeds of up to 135kbps.
BroadbandConnect is available today in 16 U.S. markets covering 52 cities. Markets include Austin (TX), Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Portland (OR.), Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose (CA.), Seattle, Tacoma and Washington, D.C. It is expected to be online in most major markets in the U.S. by the end of this year.
The new Dell Latitude D620 and D820 notebooks are available immediately through http://www.dell.com. Latitude customers can activate Cingularâs BroadbandConnect service directly from Dell and are billed monthly by Cingular. Unlimited monthly BroadbandConnect service is $59.99 per month with a two-year contract and qualified voice contract.
Beginning in late Q2, customers will be able to sign-up for Cingular Data Connect international plans. These will offer two international wireless data monthly usage plans â a North American plan ($109.99 for 100MB) for travel within Canada and Mexico and an Overseas plan ($139.99 for 100MB) â both include unlimited domestic usage on Cingularâs domestic data networks. The Overseas plan will provide access in more than two dozen countries, with service planned to be offered in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Spain and other major areas in Asia and Europe.

Got normal broadband but never use my landline for calls would changing to mobile broadband work as well(uk).
thanks.
We had mobile broadband from o2 and it was so slow you couldn't do any thing on it, all I could really use it for was msn. You couldn't watch videos on YouTube or anything because of how slow it was and web pages sometimes took up to 4/5 minutes to load and it used to take around 30 minutes (sometimes more) just to download 1 song. You might get a higher speed depending on where you live though, but we sent ours back because of how slow it was and now we have normal broadband but dont use the landline like you.I would never get mobile broadband again and wouldn't recommend it.
The area i live in does not have any high speed internet available right now… so should i get a mobile broadband card from Verizon? It looked on their coverage map and it says they work here. So is it a good alternative until hs is available?
Yes! Mobile Broadband Cards from Verizon are the ones to get! If you cant get High Speed Broadband cards are a much much better alternative than satellite internet. Satellite internet bogs you down more than it helps you. You get a low bandwidth and it cuts out all the time. Go with the card.
Is there a way to plug my laptop into a wireless router so that my mobile broadband (t-mobile usb stick) will sent out a wirelss signal through the router??
if that makes sense
yes
go into the properties of your mobile broadband connection and share the connection - it should also tell you how to setup the other computers…
